KEEP COOL is a Korean skincare brand that combines traditional Korean medicinal herbs with Nordic aesthetics. They pursue simple but sophisticated products which are based on natural solutions derived from skin research and scientific technology. In addition, they have a sustainable philosophy and use vegan ingredients and reusable packages that are better for the environment. Today, we are introducing one of their signature products, the bamboo soothe set, which consists of toner, serum, and lotion. Like their brand philosophy, the bamboo soothe set is mainly derived from natural ingredients.
KEEP COOL and Soothe Toner
The KEEP COOL and Soothe Toner contains 85% clean bamboo water and helps skin keep the optimal balance of pH level of 5.5. It contains double hyaluronic acid, which is excellent for moisturizing the skin.
“Its texture is like mild water and when I apply it on my skin, it feels like putting fresh water on my face and supplies moisture into my skin. After cleaning up my skin texture and then putting on makeup, the base makeup sticks well on my skin and is long-lasting. It was the first time that I used toner before putting make up on.
I heard that using toner before putting make up helps the foundation to stick well on the skin and gives an overall glow to the whole face. I was looking forward to luminous and moisturized skin after putting foundation on. The texture of toner was mild, non-sticky, and full of moisture, which gave immediate hydration to my skin. After putting the foundation on, I saw that my skin looked much brighter and glowier than before, even though I did not use highlighter or a bronzer. Even my friend told me that my skin looks glowy and shiny. Overall, the mild texture and moisturizing ability were all satisfying and I would recommend this product to people who have dry and cracked skin.”
KEEP COOL and Soothe Serum
The KEEP COOL and Soothe Serum consists mainly of 66% clean bamboo tree water, and 4.5% of highly-concentrated grass extract. The two main effects of this serum are skin calming and helping the skin’s internal moisture. Madecassoside and Asiaticoside are well-known ingredients that calms the skin from external stimuli. Moreover, the low molecular hyaluronic acid within the serum supports the skin to be more hydrated overall.
“The first impression after using this serum was that it had no noticeable scent. Unlike other serum products, this serum didn’t have a high viscosity: when it was put on the back of my hand, it had a more fluid-like texture. Due to this property, I was worried that the product might not be absorbed to my skin thoroughly. However, as soon as I put the serum on my face and patted my skin a little, it was absorbed completely—giving a rather refreshing finish. After using the serum, the biggest impression I received was that it didn’t have a heavy texture, but was rather light; due to this factor, it was easier for me to use this product on a nightly basis.”
KEEP COOL and Soothe Lotion
The KEEP COOL and Soothe Lotion contains 51% bamboo tree water, 2% of the calming ingredients, and a phyto green shower that enables soothing effect when applied to the skin. As the lotion itself is a low balanced pH lotion, it can be used by everyone, and is especially recommended for all members of the family to use. It is even hypoallergenic.
“Similar to the KEEP COOL and Soothe Bamboo Serum, the overall formula of this lotion was very light. It didn’t have that stickiness most lotions have, which was one of the reasons I thought this lotion would be great for people who aren’t used to moisturizing on an everyday basis. As I was one of the people who was like that, I thought I would not use this lotion everyday, but as the lotion had a light formula and didn’t leave any heaviness on my skin after it was applied, I found myself to be using it every single day.
